Fallen Ember (SY01)

A new era for AusSabers, with the premiere of our limited Scrapyard Series; The Fallen Ember (SY01).

What is a Scrapyard saber?

Quite simply, we wanted to make a range of our own hilts that incorporate interchangeable and universally adaptable parts – something we’ve never really focused on previously! Scrapyard hilts incorporate some familiar looking pieces, and a few new and unique ones too.

The Fallen Ember takes inspiration from our very first unique model; the AusSabers Incendius. It is therefore fitting that this model marks the beginning of this unique range within the AusSabers Armoury.

The emitter is a slimmed down, modular version of the original Incendius emitter –  but now fully VHC compatible. This emitter is flanked by a simple JFO inspired shroud, complete with silver thumbscrew to attach to the body.

The switch segment too takes cues from Incendius, with two grip indents to suit a high or mid grip wielder just like in the original.

The grip piece is a reversed version of our AV Mara Grip – the male and female threaded ends are now opposite to how they were in the AV Mara.

Finally, the pommel takes cues from various heat vents and exchangers seen all over the universe – no doubt this one was hastily pulled off some derelict machine to complete this saber build….

This saber breaks down into four hilt body parts and a shroud, which are generally interchangeable with VHC saber parts (including the Scrapyard series available only from AusSabers, and our good friends at Vire Sabers USA). Individual parts are available in the hilt parts section of our shop.

Saber hilt is 357mm long including the shroud. Grip diameter 36mm not including the screws, switch segment varies from 29mm to 33mm in diameter.
